The short version of the Grown by Freedom documentary about the full-scale war in Ukraine will be premiered at the Berlin Economic Forum taking place from March 6 to 10. This information was shared by the showrunner of the movie, as well as a shareholder of IBOX BANK, and CEO at the LEO International Payment System, Alyona Shevtsova.
The movie about the Russian war in Ukraine is based on interviews and chronicles. The Grown by Freedom movie is based on documentary footage from the moment of the beginning of a full-scale invasion. It presents a wide range of video evidence of bombing, destroyed Ukrainian cities, and horrifying stories of eyewitnesses. One of the key heroes of the movie is Irina, who is the mother of the defender of Azovstal, Dmitry Kozatsky. The Grown by Freedom movie will become historical evidence of the crimes of Russia against Ukraine.
The movie also tells the story of the IBOX BANK and LEO financial institutions from Ukraine that had to relocate their employees to the West of Ukraine and Poland, as well as about how they ensured stable operations during the war.
Currently, the filmmakers are planning negotiations with Netflix about releasing their movie tape on the streaming platform.
“There were so many harsh moments that we had to experience during the war. That was the moment when I realized that we need to structure and systematize everything because it’s easy to forget many things. We have witnessed and saved the chronology that will be used by our children and grandchildren, who will watch this movie to understand what we had to experience and feel. Only such a movie can preserve it and pass it on to the next generations. No doubt that we wanted to make all these events witnessed by a wider audience, the whole world, and people from all continents. Therefore, our task is to sign a contract with Netflix to make the streaming platform show our movie,” says Alyona Shevtsova.
