In a surprising revelation at the premiere of his latest Netflix movie “Lift,” Kevin Hart, the 44-year-old actor and comedian, disclosed that he is part of a clandestine action movie chat group that includes Hollywood heavyweights like Dwayne Johnson and Tom Cruise.
Hart, known for his wit and humor, playfully revealed, “Yup! Dwayne, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Jet Li, Jackie Chan. All the biggest guys. You know, we just talk about action stuff.” However, he added, “It’s a real secret chat, I shouldn’t be talking to you about this chat. I could get in a lot of trouble from the other action guys.”
As an action star himself now, Hart shares action stories with Cruise, 61, and Johnson, 51. He explained, “When you’re an action guy, you have to have action stories, so our chat is all about ping-ponging action stories and just making sure that everyone’s in sync, you know? That’s what it’s about.”
While Hart has collaborated with Johnson in several films, he has yet to work with the rest of the stars in his alleged secret group chat.
At the premiere, Hart also discussed the strong bond he formed with the cast of “Lift,” directed by F. Gary Gray, which includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, and Sam Worthington. The action-packed movie follows Hart’s character, Cyrus Whitaker, as he assembles a heist team to steal $500 million in gold from a passenger plane mid-flight.
“Lift” is set to premiere on Netflix in the U.S. and worldwide on January 12, promising audiences an adrenaline-pumping experience.
