David Serero, famously known as an actor, a producer, and an opera singer, has been in the news lately. Apart from being a producer, David Serero is also known for his direction. That is what made David Serero wins the Best Director Documentary Award for his film on the famous Fashion Designer Elie Tahari at the Berlin Indie Film Festival 2021. David Serero, who started as an opera singer, moved onto also becoming an actor and producer for films and television series.
Serero has sung more than 30 lead roles in opera and starred in more than 100 movies and television series, made his US debut singing Alfio and Tonio in Pennsylvania state in 2007, for which he was acclaimed highly for his acting qualities as he was the youngest French opera singer to make a US debut. According to David Serero, he felt inspired by the achievements of Elie Tahari and how he was living the American dream by building his empire. The whole film was shot in 2020 with an estimated budget of $75,000 and includes a wide range of star cast like Fern Mallis, Teri Agins, Mellisa Rivers, Nicole Miller, Melissa Rivers and many more.
Elie Tahari, famously recognized for introducing Tube Tops, claimed he wanted to participate in his documentary to leave a legacy behind his children.
