Larry Birkhead, known for his role in raising his daughter Dannielynn, recently took to social media to share a heartwarming moment from their trip to Disneyland. The proud father couldn’t help but crack a few jokes about his daughter’s driving skills during their visit to the theme park.
Larry, 50, and his 17-year-old daughter Dannielynn, the late Anna Nicole Smith’s child, made the most of their day at Disneyland. They were captured racing cars on the Autopia ride, capturing cherished moments as they explored the park together.
In a Reel posted on their joint Instagram account, Larry humorously remarked about Dannielynn’s driving abilities, saying, “Dannielynn trying to show me her ‘driving skills’ at @waltdisneyworld Autotopia. After a year of telling her to study for her driver’s test and then her just being too lazy and ‘busy’ while at the same time telling me that she ‘doesn’t want to drive,’ she decided to show me what she’s got at Disney World.”
While playfully admitting that she “needs a little help,” Larry shared that he had made a deal with his daughter, stating, “When she can pass a quiz at home, then I would take her to get driver’s lessons because it makes me too nervous.”
He concluded his caption on a light-hearted note, highlighting their love for Disney and how Dannielynn has become a daredevil since her first experience on Splash Mountain.
This isn’t the first time Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn have shared memorable moments together. In May, they attended the 2023 Kentucky Derby, with Dannielynn donning a sunflower print dress designed by Leo Lin and accessorized with jewelry from her late mother’s collection.
At the Derby, Dannielynn also had the opportunity to receive a private guitar lesson from Richie Sambora, which Larry enthusiastically documented on Instagram. The young musician even played a rendition of Janet Jackson’s “Black Cat” for Sambora.
As Dannielynn celebrated her 16th birthday, Larry expressed his pride and love for his daughter, sharing heartfelt messages and photos of their journey together over the years. He fondly noted how quickly time had passed and marveled at Dannielynn’s accomplishments.
