After a two-year wait, the second season of Black Summer is now available on Netflix worldwide. Following an outstanding second season, fans like ourselves will be hoping for a third season of the spiritual successor to Z-Nation.
Karl Schaefer and John Hyams created the American streaming television series, Black Summer. On April 11, 2019, Netflix launched the first season, which consisted of eight episodes. The series is produced by The Asylum, the same company that produced Z Nation, and is mostly written and directed by Hyams, with Abram Cox writing and directing additional episodes. Jaime King plays Rose, and a mother separated from her daughter during the first and most terrifying days of a zombie apocalypse.
The second season of Black Summer was vastly superior to the first. If there is one thing that Black Summer does consistently well, it is to make every encounter with zombies terrifying and every confrontation with other survivors nerve-wracking tense.
