Season 3 of The Boys continues to round out its ensemble cast, with Variety reporting that actress Laurie Holden has repeatedly joined the hilarious superhero series. Holden will be playing Crimson Countess, a supe associated with Vought International.
Heather Laurie Holden is a Canadian-American actress, model, and human rights, campaigner. Some of her most well-known roles are Amanda Dumfries in The Mist, Olivia Murray in The Shield, Andrea in The Walking Dead, Renee in The Americans etc.
Crimson Countess is a Scarlet Witch-like character in the comics. She served in WWII, so it stands to reason that she would cross paths with Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, given that the Supernatural actor is also joining The Boys for Season 3.

Crimson Countess is also a member of the superhero organisation Payback, suggested by Starlight as a possible Seven-member early in the TV series, and is romantically linked with a Vision-Esque character named Mind-Droid; however, she is frequently disloyal in their relationship. There’s no word yet on whether The Boys will attempt their version of WandaVision.
What is the main storyline of the series?
The Boys is a witty look at what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as powerful as politicians, and as revered as gods, abuse their superpowers rather than using them for good. As The Boys go on a heroic quest to uncover the truth about the supergroup known as “The Seven,” it’s helpless against the super powerful.
The programme preserves most of the comics’ (available for purchase here) boundary-pushing violence and sexuality while delving into the dark side of superhero stardom and recognition.
Who else is supposed to join in the cast of the series?
Holden’s casting comes after the show announced earlier this week that it had added actors Sean Patrick Flanery, Nick Wechsler, and Miles Gaston Villanueva to the cast as Supersonic, Gunpowder, and Blue Hawk — three characters who are original creations for the series and have never appeared in any of The Boys comics.
Who are the stars and producer of the show?
Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Eri Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, and Nathan Mitchell feature in The Boys, which was created by Eric Kripke and produced by Hartley Gorenstein, Gabriel Garcia, and Nick Barrucci.
