Rian Johnson came to Twitter on June 28th to announce that filming had commenced, thanking the people of Greece “for letting us do all this murdering on their tranquil coasts.”
What is the budget for the film?
Netflix has paid $450 million for the rights to Knives Out 2 and 3, giving Rian Johnson “incredible creative flexibility” over the sequels. Each film’s budget will be at least as large as the first, which means a minimum of $80 million ($40 million each) will be spent on both films’ budgets.
