Horror aficionados looking for the classics in 4K Ultra HD will be pleased to learn that Kino Lorber Studio Classics is releasing a special edition of Jonathan Demme’s The Silence of the Lambs. The new horror movie includes enough extras to please even the most discriminating fan, served on two discs and seasoned with Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter and Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling.

Thanks to Hopkins’ frightening portrayal of the cannibal doctor Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs, the film was responsible for making the cannibal doctor Hannibal Lecter into a pop-culture symbol. Based on Thomas Harris’ best-selling novel, the film depicts the delicate relationship between a young FBI agent (Foster) and a convicted serial murderer (Hopkins) who collaborate to apprehend a dangerous criminal who has been abducting women.
