Along with Urban and Quaid, Anthony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Tomer Capon, Dominique McElligott, Karen Fukuhara, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, and Nathan Mitchell are also set to return. The new season of ‘The Boys’ will also introduce the character of Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles of Supernatural fame.
The new season will introduce Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy
Kripke, who created Supernatural and was also the showrunner, said he wasn’t sure whether Ackles would agree to the role, right after finishing 15 years of Supernatural. But as luck would have it, Ackles agreed to ‘The Boys.’ Ackles also made an Instagram video to commemorate the last day of filming on ‘The Boys,’ and shared that the day coincided with his last day of shooting for Supernatural.
Ackles’ character, Soldier Boy, who fought the Nazis in World War II, parodies Marvel’s, Captain America. Along with Ackles, actors Laurie Holden and Miles Gaston Villanueva will also join the cast, as Crimson Countess and Supersonic respectively.
Although the creators of the show haven’t made a statement about when the show will release, we can all expect a crazy new season in 2022.
‘The Boys’ season 1 & 2 is streaming on Amazon Prime.
